It’s official. I’ve written my first WordPress plugin. It’s in the upper left hand corner of the side bar. It’s called Field Status It just shows the status of the fields that we might be playing on, on any given Tuesday or Thursday night.  Florida weather can accurately be said to be ever-changing. If you don’t like the weather here, just wait 20 minutes. Anyway, this was a test to see if I could:

• write a proper WP plugin
• get it to do something actually useful
• not break my site
• use it as a platform to start developing more useful features that involve
  • learning about important hook locations in WP
  • providing admin abilities to influence output, such as a settings page and a page to update the output
  • providing the ability to add and remove entities, parameters and characteristics from those admin pages
• brag about it to other nerdy mofros.

So far, I’ve just done the first 3. #’s 4 and 5 are a work in progress.
