I really don’t know what it is that’s so complicated about turning right onto a road using a merge lane. I think every right turn should be a merge lane. It’s the least disruptive method of cars joining traffic – or it should be. Continue reading Merging and the fast lane

Lessons from the Arsenal Barcelona game
Overall, I’d say that even though Arsenal lost the game, the manner in which we lost was something to be proud of…almost.
The game came down to two mistakes. First, the goal that came from Neymar and Messi on the fast break: This mistake is Nacho Monreal’s and Giroud’s. Bellerin and Cech had Neymar in the top corner of the box. There’s no need for Monreal to run to the goal. He needed to eliminate Messi as a recipient for the pass which was Neymar’s only possible option, short of passing backwards or taking a shot. Continue reading Lessons from the Arsenal Barcelona game
The day of destiny is here
- David vs Goliath
- Joe vs the volcano
- Cramer vs Cramer
- Arsenal vs Barcelona!!!
- Arsenal shirt…check!
- Arsenal hat…check!
- Arsenal socks…check!
- Undying optimism…check!
We are missing the great Santi Cazorla and the dogged Jack Wilshere, but we are Mesut Ozil positive and we have Electric Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Hector Bellerin, Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal, Mathieu Flamini, Francis Coquelin, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Gabriel Paulista, Joe Campbell, Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Mikel Arteta.
With a relaxed and focused effort and the belief that we can do the deed, we will fight and we will not give up. We’re at the Emirates, so we’ve got the crowd and despite the outcome, this will be an epic match. I have no idea what the odds are on the game, but I’m sure it’s all on Barca to win.
Here’s to betting against that! COYG!!!!!!!!
Champion’s League Today!
That’s right, bitches! Plenty of time to find the nearest internet connected computer, sports bar, neighbor with cable and free beer! 2:45 is the witching hour. The masked (wo)men of Chelski vs PSG. Bye, Chelski.
The future looks a bit grim in UCL
Of course, I’ll be cheering for my beloved Arsenal, but I’m not an idiot – despite what Jackie may blather on about. The reality is, without Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshire, and having the entire rest of the squad at full strength, I don’t give us much of a chance.
This image captures the upcoming match perfectly. We’ll get a few licks in, but Barca will not be daunted and ultimately, MSN are gonna bite us right on the hand. The crying will be done by me.
Arsenal beat Leicester…twice!
That’s right. Naysayers can go and fuck off. Right now. Twice. Because that’s how many times this season that Arsenal have beaten current league-leaders Leicester City. Continue reading Arsenal beat Leicester…twice!

Getting to the field
Every Tuesday and Thursday, around 16:00, I start getting antsy. Fidgety – good nervous energy. It’s all I can do to not get up from my desk, grab my stuff, head out the door, drive home and get ready to play some football. Continue reading Getting to the field
